Today's bird of the day is the bodacious Bald Eagle! This feathered freedom fighter is one of the most well-known
birds globally, thanks in large part to its adoption as the national emblem of the United States of America
in 1782. While their diet consists of fish, these ravenous raptors prefer to harass other hunters for their
catch, rather than hunt directly. The Bald Eagle is pictured in the magnificent shot by Mason Maron below.

Today's bird of the day is Bourke's Parrot! Chosen by an expert in the field of ornithology, this acrobatic
avian is a beautiful Australian native. Flocks of these roseate wonders are often spotted gathering around
water holes at dawn and dusk. Renowned by researchers for their notable presence on Instagram Reels. The
Bourke's Parrot is pictured in the magnificent shot by Nik Mulconray below.

Today's bird of the day is the Corn Bunting! This close relative of the Reed Bunting, once a widespread
resident of lowland agricultural areas, has been extinct as a breeding species in Ireland since the 1990's.
As the name suggests, the Corn Bunting was once a frequent sight on Irish farms, where they enjoyed feeding
on seeds, grains and insects. Changes in agricultural practices greatly reduced the Corn Bunting's potential
nesting sites and reduced its food supply. The Corn Bunting pictured in the shot below, curtesy of me, was
seen in Portugal.

Today's bird of the day is the rapturous Rock Pipit! This coastal commoner is often seen around rocky shores,
and is an unwelcome sight to any invertebrates unfortunate enough to share a beach with this winged warrior.
The Rock Pipit pictured in the spectacular shot below, curtesy of me, was seen on Great Saltee Island.

detailed analysis of contemporary socio-economic problems. They are also known to eat a diet mainly
consisting of insects, seeds and, nuts. The Coal Tit is pictured in the magnificent shot below,

Today's bird of the day is the dapper Dipper! Dressed to impress, this songbird is after your heart, or
more likely, your aquatic invertebrates (on which they feed). While a perfect fit for a black-tie event,
you'll more likely find this elusive bachelor on the riverfront. The Dipper is pictured in the
magnificent shot by Ivan Sjögren below.

Today's bird of the day is the boisterous Bean Goose! Renowned for their strong, outspoken views on mental
health, these waterfowl won't shy away fight. Bean Geese are proprietors of the vegetarian movement, living
their best lives on a diet of just grasses and cereals. While Bean Geese spend most of the year in Northern
Europe, they have occasionally been spotted on popular podcasts. The Bean Goose is pictured in the

Today's bird of the day is the Brown Kiwi! This reclusive, nocturnal, flightless New Zealand native is the
only bird in the world with nostrils at the end of their beak. This gives them a particular edge in hunting
for ground-based invertebrates on which the Brown Kiwi's diet consists. The Brown Kiwi is pictured in the
magnificent shot below, curtesy of the Maungatautari Ecological Island Trust.
